I entered into the technical world by roundabout means

I studied German Literature in Mongolia and came to Vienna to do a Masters and to improve my German. Since technology had always interested me, I did a Bachelor’s in Information Technology instead and am now working on a Masters in IT Security.

Great colleagues and flexible work schedules help me to combine studies and work

Since I’m employed part-time at Bosch and am in the office mostly three days a week, it can happen that I miss out on important information. Yet my colleagues always keep me on top of what’s going on. Working and studying parallel can indeed sometimes be a challenge, but with these flexible work schedules at Bosch, it’s not a problem.

As a PreMaster I can bring together theory and practice

I really like how I can take the theories I learned from my studies and set them into practice at Bosch. This way I gather valuable experience right alongside my studies. At the same time I am able to support my colleagues on questions in the area of hard- and software.

You just finished your Bachelor’s degree and now seek to gain some practical experience? Yet at the same time you want to pursue your Masters degree? This is an either-or situation, isn’t it? No way! You can do both! We at Bosch have the perfect solution for you. Our PreMaster program offers the perfect synthesis between work and study. More specifically, that means you get to know the things in the day-to-day worklife that you will later learn about in theory. Expert advice and rewards are included in the program.

What we expect:

After the completion of your Bachelor’s degree in the technical or economical field you aspire to a Master’s degree. Apart from professional excellence, we also look for ambitious people.

Course of actions:

The program consists of 2 phases: first you will gain some practical experience focusing on your specialized field at BOSCH and in the second step, you will start with your Master’s degree.

While at Bosch, you will undertake a range of duties in the specialized field which will later be a focus in your Master’s degree as well. This first phase can last up to 12 months, depending on your start date. You will receive a general introduction to our company and complete at least one additional course of training. At the same time, you will get an inside view of the day-to-day business and various projects and in so doing gain insight into adjacent work fields, and obtain a perfect overview of it all.

Based on that process, you will start your Master’s program with your aspired specialization. During this part of the program, you can still gain work experience, but are able to reduce your weekly work hours adjusted to your university schedule.

There is no set application or starting-time for the program. You can apply for the vacant positions online.
